Lenopetalum 'Chocolate and Strawberries' is a fascinating hybrid succulent that belongs to the Crassulaceae family. This plant forms a branched habit and resembles Lenophyllum for its flowering and Graptopetalum for its foliage. It has many rosettes of oval, crowded, slightly pointed, fleshy leaves that are dark purple-red tinged with black, especially at the leaf tips. The flowers are star-shaped with five bright yellow petals, creating a beautiful contrast with the reddish-black leaves. Lenopetalum 'Chocolate and Strawberries' is a nursery hybrid and does not exist in nature. It is a cross between Lenophyllum and Graptopetalum, both native to southern USA and Mexico.

Growing Instructions:
This slow-growing plant needs full sun exposure but should be protected from direct sunlight during the hottest periods. It thrives in well-draining soil mixed with pumice, clay, and loam to prevent root rot. Watering should be regular in spring and summer, allowing the soil to dry out completely between watering sessions. Unless you live in a mild area like we do in Jacksonville, Florida, in winter, watering should be stopped to allow the plant to enter dormancy. Where we are, they go dormant in summer from the heat, and grow quite well from Fall-Spring, like Crassula, Haworthia, Pachyphytum, Sempervivums, Etc..
📌This plant will definitely drop some leaves along the way but the good news is, however many fall off is about how many new plants you will be able to have! No exaggeration either... They reproduce very well!
Ships in 3.5" pots. You will receive a plant similar to the ones pictured, though size and fullness may vary. Please understand that shipped plants have bumpy rides. A few broken leaves or small stems are normal during shipping and are not considered damage. Broken stems can be rooted once the cut end dries to start new growth. Plants may arrive semi‑dormant, and in winter they may naturally drop a few leaves. If your plant arrives rotting or dead, we will replace it. Please contact us with photo proof within 24 hours of delivery. After 24 hours, plant care becomes the buyer’s responsibility, though we’re always happy to answer questions and help you succeed. We also add brief instructions on getting started when you open your box. We want our plant babies to have happy new homes! 🥰
Heat packs are available to purchase in our shop for cold-sensitive plants. Keep in mind some plants we carry are very tropical and even cold, not freezing, temperatures can kill them. 📌IF YOU EXPECT COLD WEATHER, PLEASE PURCHASE A HEAT PACK! 📌 These are necessary for winter shipping, so I sell them at cost. I won't refund or replace any frozen plants unless you buy one!

I cannot guarantee herbaceous plant orders from these states, so order at your own risk. Hoyas, cacti, and succulents are an exception. My apologies for any inconvenience.
