Hoya Nova Ghost, also known as Hoya carnosa 'Nova Ghost', is a rare and striking variety of the Hoya carnosa species. It is known for its silver variegated leaves that have a beautiful, ghostly appearance. The leaves are shorter and have shorter spaces between them compared to the similar 'Grey Ghost' variety. It is a fast-growing plant and tends to produce more leaves and vines quickly. Like other Hoyas, it produces clusters of waxy, star-shaped flowers that are often fragrant. Growing Information Bright, indirect light is ideal for Hoya Nova Ghost. Avoid direct sunlight as it can scorch the leaves. Water sparingly, allowing the soil to dry out between waterings. Overwatering can lead to root rot. Use a well-draining potting mix, such as a cactus or succulent mix. Moderate humidity levels are preferred. Mist occasionally if the air is too dry. Keep the plant in a warm environment, ideally between 60°F to 80°F (15°C to 27°C). They thrive in humid, tropical environments and are often found growing as epiphytes on tree trunks and branches. Prefers bright, indirect light. Direct sunlight can be too intense, especially in the afternoon. Water sparingly, allowing the soil to dry out between waterings. They often produce flowers on the same spurs year after year so don't remove the spurs when flowers drop! The flowers are nocturnal, opening at night and releasing a sweet fragrance.Ships in the 3.5” pots shown in the pictures. This listing is for the EXACT item in the pictures. Scientific Name: Hoya carnosa ‘Nova Ghost’
Family Name: Apocynaceae
Product Description:
Hoya Nova Ghost is a striking carnosa variety known for its silver, ghost‑like foliage that develops a metallic sheen under bright, indirect light. Leaves are shorter and more compact than similar “ghost” types, giving the plant a dense, tidy growth habit. The vines grow quickly once established, producing firm leaves with soft variegation that shifts with lighting conditions. Mature plants form clusters of waxy, star‑shaped flowers that open at night and release a sweet fragrance. Its fast growth, unique coloration, and reliable blooming make it a standout among collectors.
