The flowers it produces are pure white and fragrant, and it will also produce an edible fruit although the fruit itself isn’t very large. This is the most widely cultivated species of the genus Epiphyllum, and for good reason, easy care and beautiful flowers make this an excellent houseplant.The plants known as epiphyllum hybrids, epiphyllums or just epis, which are widely grown for their flowers, are artificial hybrids of species within the tribe. In spite of the common name, Epiphyllum species are less often involved as parents of Epiphyllum hybrids.The parent species from which epiphyllum hybrids were bred are different in appearance and habit from most cacti. They are found in the tropical forests of Central America where they grow as climbers or on trees as epiphytes Hylocereeae, particularly species of Disocactus, Pseudorhipsalis and Selenicereus. They have leafless (or apparently leafless) flattened stems which act as the plant’s photosynthetic organs. Epiphyllum hybrids should be re-potted every 2 to 3 years as they tend to deplete the nutrients in their growing medium, however they like to be root bound to flower.You will receive a plant that is very similar to the plants pictured however they may have grown some or depending on the time of year, they could be semi-dormant. I have only grown plants in Florida and will send out anything I feel comfortable will grow here. It is up to you to know the conditions that these plants grow in the part of the country you reside. Ships in the 3” pots shown in the pictures. We put great care into packaging our plants but due to the nature of the items shipped we cannot guarantee that some leaves won’t be broken or fall off- It is normal to lose some depending on the variety (Sedum, Echeveria, Cotyledon, Graptopetalum, etc...). Many kinds of leaves will re-root and grow into a new plant. Some that do not are Cotyledon and Aeonium. Epiphyllum anguliger is a distinctive epiphytic cactus known for its deeply lobed, zig‑zag stems that resemble fish bones. The flattened stems grow in cascading layers, making it a standout hanging plant. Mature plants produce large, fragrant, night‑blooming flowers that open in shades of white to pale yellow. Its unusual form, fast growth, and ease of care make it a favorite among collectors of jungle cacti and epiphytes. Very similar to Selenicereus anthonyanus but does not take as long for it’s first blooms. Selenicereus anthonyanus has more intriguing flowers, but E. anguliger’s blooms smell much better! Though they are certainly different, they are both awesome in their own way!

Growing Conditions:
Grow in bright, indirect light or filtered sun. Use a well‑draining, airy mix such as orchid bark, perlite, and peat or coco coir. Water when the top of the soil begins to dry; avoid letting it sit in soggy conditions. Maintain temperatures between 60–90°F with moderate humidity. Provide support or allow stems to trail naturally. Fertilize lightly during active growth. Protect from frost and direct, harsh midday sun.

Ships in 3" pots. You will receive a plant similar to the ones pictured, though size and fullness may vary. Please understand that shipped plants have bumpy rides. A few broken leaves or small stems are normal during shipping and are not considered damage. Broken stems can be rooted once the cut end dries to start new growth. Plants may arrive semi‑dormant, and in winter they may naturally drop a few leaves. If your plant arrives rotting or dead, we will replace it. Please contact us with photo proof within 24 hours of delivery. After 24 hours, plant care becomes the buyer’s responsibility, though we’re always happy to answer questions and help you succeed. We also add brief instructions on getting started when you open your box. We want our plant babies to have happy new homes! 🥰
