Stapeliformis, *Cactus (*Not really a cactus but a Asclepiad), 4in Potted Plant, Outdoor Gardening, Cactus Arrangements Name: Snake Creeper Scientific Name: Ceropegia stapeliformis Subspecies Stapeliformis Family: Apocynaceae Product Description The plant features long, slender, cylindrical stems that can grow to be several feet in length. These stems are usually green but may take on a purple hue under intense sunlight or stress. The leaves are tiny and rudimentary, often falling off shortly after they appear, which gives the stems a leafless, almost reptilian look. Ceropegia stapeliiformis is known for its intriguing flowers, which vary from pale greenish-white with maroon spots to maroon/red. The flowers are tubular or funnel-shaped and can grow up to 7 cm in length. They have an intricate structure, resembling small lanterns or parachutes, which helps in trapping small flies that pollinate them. This plant has a trailing or creeping growth habit, making it ideal for hanging baskets or as a ground cover in warm climates. The roots are tuberous, storing water and nutrients, which helps the plant survive periods of drought. Origination: South Africa, Eswatini Recommended Uses: Ornamental, Collectable Height: Creeper, Ground Cover Hardiness: USDA 10+ Flower Color: Varies from pale greenish-white with maroon spots - This variety has maroon flowers Other Names: Parachute Plant Growing Instructions: Prefers bright, indirect light but can tolerate some direct sunlight. It's best to avoid intense midday sun, which can scorch the stems. Water sparingly. Allow the soil to dry out completely between waterings. Overwatering can lead to root rot. Use a well-draining cactus or succulent mix. Adding perlite or sand can enhance drainage. Thrives in warm temperatures, ideally between 15°C to 27°C (60°F to 80°F). It does not tolerate frost and should be kept indoors in colder climates.Ships in the 3.5” pots shown in the pictures. You will receive a plant that is very similar to the plants pictured however they may have grown some or depending on the time of year, they could be semi-dormant. Some plants will drop their leaves in winter - Crown of Thorns, Buddha Belly Jatropha, Etc. I have only grown plants in Florida and will send out anything I feel comfortable will grow here. It is up to you to know the conditions that these plants grow in the part of the country you reside. If your plant arrives rotting or dead, we will replace it for you. Please contact me within 24 hours of delivery of your plants. It is my duty to get you a live healthy plant- a few broken leaves or small stems not counting as this is normal. Again, we cannot guarantee that some leaves won’t be broken or fall off- It is normal to lose some depending on the variety (Sedum, Echeveria, Cotyledon, Graptopetalum, etc...). Many kinds of leaves will re-root and grow into a new plant. Some that do not are Cotyledon and Aeonium. After 24 hours, my job is done and it is up to you (The buyer) to know how to keep it alive. I will accept some returns, however, since a shipped plant cannot be returned in its original condition, I can only offer a 50% refund.
